Q Shelter Learning Exchange: a forum for housing, homelessness and other support services to advance solutions and solve challenges.
About this event
The June Learning Exchange is about tenant participation with a post election update from Emma Greenhalgh, National Shelter.
Tenant participation is an important part of the work undertaken by Community Housing Providers, it is a two-way process involving tenants working in partnership with providers to share ideas, information and have input into decisions to improve services.
This month’s Learning Exchange will be joined by Robert Perrier, Q Shelter Management Committee member, Terry Green, Queensland Registrar, David Schrueder, Victorian Registrar and Emeritus Professor David Hayward, Chair of the Victorian Government’s Social Housing Regulation Review to talk about tenant participation as it relates to the National Regulatory Framework in Queensland and The Victorian Regulatory Framework.
With the change of government, Emma Greenhalgh, CEO of National Shelter will be joining the Learning Exchange to discuss how this change may influence housing and homelessness services in Queensland and outline what we can do to help shape this change.
We invite you and your colleagues to participate on Tuesday 7th June and the first Tuesday of every month from 4.00pm-5:00pm (excluding school holidays).
Please note: meetings are recorded for training and development purposes and are not for distribution.
