Pysanky Egg Decorating Workshop
Overview
Discover the beauty of Pysanky, a traditional Ukrainian art form that uses a wax-resist technique to create stunning, colorful designs on eggs.
In this workshop local artist, Lindee Russell will support participants to turn an egg into a work of art!
What to Expect
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the step-by-step process of creating your own Pysanky eggs. Starting with raw eggs, you’ll apply intricate designs using wax and vibrant dyes, layering colors to achieve beautiful patterns.
Lindee will guide you through the process and share traditional motifs and techniques, so you leave with unique creations and the skills to continue at home.
Materials Provided
Wax, dyes, tools and templates
Tea, coffee and treats
Please Bring
- 6 raw eggs (preferably white, room temperature)
- Egg cup
- Non-scented solid candle
- HB pencil
- Notebook
- Old clean towel
- Wear old clothes
Come join us for a creative, fun, and addictive experience!
The workshop will commence at 1pm, and run over 3 hours, so be sure to be on time.
This workshop is limited to 10 participants only.
