Pyrography is the free handed art of decorating wood or other materials with burn marks resulting from the controlled application of a heated object such as a poker. It is also known as pokerwork or wood burning.
The term means "writing with fire", from the Greek pur and graphos. 😁
Create your own wonderful piece of pyrography art in this workshop at Wauchope Creative Hub with teacher Stu Doherty.
Learn the art of pyrography with a wood burning tool that will help you draw personalised designs onto your choice of natural wood boards, 3 styles of board to choose from.
The wood burning tool is a pen-like device with a metal end, through which the heat is transferred to the surface you wish to burn.
We will have a variety of designs for you to choose from, including lovely Australian gum leaf templates, or you may wish to bring along your own design.
Everything is included in this 2 hour workshop.
