A professional information evening for both published and unpublished children’s book writers and illustrators. (18+ years).


Join in this special Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) NSW meeting where you will hear valuable insights from an author, illustrator and publisher currently working.

Illustrator Mateja Jager will share her artistic process from first sketch to final art. Author Lucie Stevens will speak about finding your way through doubt and rejection to reconnect with creativity, and Penguin Random House editor, Vishali Seshadri, will talk about what makes a kids’ book engaging. Discover important tips on topics such as voice, narration, plot and pace.

Please note this is a professional talk for adults writing or illustrating for children.
