Public Sector Training Package Draft 2 Webinar 2

SkillsIQ, under the direction of the Public Sector Industry Reference Committee (IRC), has undertaken a project to update the Qualifications and Units of Competency packaged within the PSP Public Sector Training Package that cater to the Governance and Trade Measurement sub-sectors in order to ensure that the skills and knowledge requirements for people working in these environments in State, Territory and Federal jurisdictions meet current and future sector needs.

This is also an opportunity to remove obsolete Units from the Training Package where very low enrolments in recent years have highlighted the need for investigation into their application and relevance to contemporary job roles. In many cases alternative units have been sourced to cater to the competency areas which remain relevant.

Webinar Details

A Validation Guide is available to guide stakeholders regarding the provision of feedback during the Draft 2 validation stage of the project. The webinar will focus on the key issues to consider in validating the proposed changes to the following seven Qualifications and related Skill Sets and Units of Competency:

• PSP20116 Certificate II in Government

• PSP30116 Certificate III in Government

• PSP40116 Certificate IV in Government

• PSP50116 Diploma of Government

• PSP60116 Advanced Diploma of Government (Workplace Inspection/Investigations/Fraud Control),

• PSP40516 Certificate IV in Trade Measurement

• PSP50516 Diploma of Trade Measurement.

The webinar will outline:

• the changes proposed

• key questions for consideration

• consultation timelines

• how to provide feedback

• how to keep up to date with the project’s progress.
