This free seminar's focuses include the Assembly's roles and functions, working with committees, and legislative scrutiny.

This half-day seminar explores the processes and practices of the Legislative Assembly. Participants will learn about:


  • the role and functions of the Legislative Assembly
  • parliamentary privilege and its relevance to public servants
  • the formal procedures and documents involved in Sitting Days
  • the legislative process, including a look at the ACT Legislation Register
  • the committee system and the inquiry process.


We will also be providing a light morning tea for attendees.


Our public sector seminars are free and available to ACT Public Sector Staff ONLY.
