What are the key lessons from the Banking Royal Commission?

About this Event

Professor Michael A Adams, the new Head of the UNE Law School, is an expert in corporate law, governance and financial services. For over 30 years, he has been writing, presenting and teaching on the impact of corporate law, particularly in financial services. This is a Public Lecture, so as well as being beneficial to lawyers, accountants and financial advisors, it will be of interest to the whole community. Banks and financial institutions represent over 50% of the top ten listed companies on the Australian Securities Exchange. Most people have superannuation, life insurance, mortgages and other financial products. This lecture will provide an opportunity to hear a clear analysis of what the Hayne’s Royal Commission was trying to discover. More importantly what is the likely impact and what lessons can be learned. There will be an opportunity for questions and dialogue on these important contemporary issues.
