Public Lecture: The Secret/Sacred History of the World - Margery O'Gorman
Forget everything you’ve heard about evolution and open your mind to an alternative theory that has been concurrent but hidden.
From the Egyptians through to the mystery schools of the ancient Greeks to the flowering of the renaissance and the beginnings of scientific thought, we can trace the persistence of another narrative that has been suppressed by the church but celebrated through secret societies and through the Theosophical movement. Margery O’Gorman is the manager of the Radcliffe Theosophical Library and works in New Dimensions Bookshop. Margery has a degree in history and worked for many years as an educational librarian, encouraging and facilitating research. Her long-standing interest in western esoteric thought, especially early emerging Christianity and its evolving and divergent spiritual pathways comes to the fore in her presentation based partly on the work of Jonathan Black.
