Description

You never forget the flu. Symptoms come on quickly and can knock you out for weeks. Protect yourself this winter and get your flu shot by registering.

For 2019, Banyule Council is running public flu shot sessions between May and August.

Book a spot to get your shot.

Who is it for?

Anyone aged six months or older should get an annual flu shot.

Registration is free, though there is a cost per dose administered.

$25 per dose, or free for:

  • children aged 6 months to under 5 years of age
  • pregnant women
  • people aged over 65
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
  • people with chronic medical conditions.

By getting your flu shot, you’re not only protecting yourself. You’re also protecting young babies less than six months old and people who have low immunity who can't receive the shot.

Where payment is required, each dose of the flu vaccine is to be paid on the day of the session. We accept EFTPOS or credit card only.

You do not need to register for a child who is due for their scheduled vaccines at 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 12 months, 18 months and 4 years.

High demand may cause wait times.
You can attend the session you register for at any time.

Specially trained and qualified nurse immunisers administer the flu shot and after receiving it, you need to wait 15 minutes as a precaution.
