Prospect Repair Café

Prospect Repair Café

Overview

Join us monthly for the Prospect Repair Café. Bring along your broken household items for one of our skilled volunteer repairers to fix.

Let’s work together to reduce waste and give broken items a new lease on life.

When: The LAST Saturday of the month (excluding December, January and April )

What can be repaired at Prospect Repair Café?

Our skilled repairers can offer the following assistance:

  • Textile Repairs - mending, sewing and patching clothing or other fabric items (Repairs only – no alterations or hemming of new items).
  • Electronic Repairs – Diagnosing and fixing basic electronic devices and appliances (No whitegoods, like microwaves. Items must be small enough to carry).
  • General Repairs – Fixing small household items, furniture or toys.

How to get involved:

To ensure you get dedicated time with a volunteer repairer, please book a free ticket for a one-hour timeslot based on your repair needs. We welcome one item per repair booking. Bookings are for one hour.

Good to Know Information:

Prospect Repair Café requires that you remain on site while the repair is being carried out. If you are unable to attend, please cancel your booking as soon as possible, as these sessions are in high demand.

Bookings must be made by an adult (children are required to have parent/ guardian supervision).

Please ensure your broken items are washed and clean.

All repairs are performed by suitably skilled volunteer repairers. Whilst they will always do their best, we cannot guarantee that every item can be repaired.
