This NESA-accredited course supports Languages teachers in designing coherent, dynamic units of work that move beyond reliance on a textbook. Participants will explore best practice in Languages curriculum design, with a focus on research- and evidence-informed approaches to planning, sequencing and coherence across a course of study. Through guided discussion and practical application, teachers will develop a syllabus-aligned unit of work that foregrounds communicative goals, meaningful learning tasks and a clear progression of skills and knowledge. Participants will access a suite of practical resources, including sample units, templates, scope and sequence documentation and assessment task models to assist in the design process.
