Description

In this 10 week hands on course students will be introduced to the many varied and exciting techniques of printmaking. Through practical exercises students will be guided to create monoprints, drypoints and aluminium etchings, chine-colle, collagraphs, carborundum and lino prints. Students will be encouraged to explore and develop many variations and combinations within these techniques. Come along to this small and relaxed class to explore your creativity in print.

A detailed course outline and materials list will be provided on enrolment. Some materials will be provided.

THE TUTORS

Gina McDonald fell in love with printmaking over ten years ago and enjoys the slow process of creating artworks especially etching. She completed an Advanced Diploma in Fine Arts majoring in printmaking. Valé Zakarauskas is passionate about printmaking working across a variety and combination of techniques. Valé holds a Bachelor of Visual Arts majoring in printmaking. Both Gina and Valé exhibit their work regularly in Newcastle and beyond and are committee members at the Newcastle Printmakers Workshop.
