"Don't just watch the digital future happen. Let’s Shape it together."

Join Western Sydney Tech Innovators, Western Sydney’s biggest AI Community, for an exclusive 1-day bootcamp designed to create the next generation of community tech leaders.

What you will learn in this 1-Day Bootcamp:

  • Morning (Become a Digital Mentor): Master the "Art of Mentoring" to help beginner learners overcome tech anxiety. You will learn to explain complex topics without jargon. As a solid training ground, we use the credible "Be Connected" government toolkit, and use essential accessibility features to support older Australians.
  • Afternoon (Digital and AI Literacy Training): A hands-on guide to using AI for productivity, creativity, and safety. You'll leave with practical skills in ChatGPT (for everyday tasks), Midjourney (for visual creation), and critical AI Ethics to help your community stay safe from scams.

By 4pm, you will gain two critical certifications:

  1. Certified Digital Mentor: Learn the psychology and skills to help anyone (even your grandparents!) cross the digital divide.
  2. AI Literacy Mentor: Master the latest AI tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney) for your own life and learn how to teach them safely.

Who is this for?

This bootcamp is designed for anyone who wants to lead in their community or consider career-skill expansion:

  • Professionals & Trainers: Future-proof your career by adding "Digital and AI Trainer" skills to your toolkit.
  • Social Workers & Support Staff: Gain the practical digital skills to better support your clients.
  • Founders & Business Owners: Give back to the ecosystem while networking with other local leaders.
  • Local Champions: community leaders who want to bring digital and AI skills back to their groups.
  • Volunteers & Retirees: Turn your patience and life experience into a superpower to help others get online.

Why join?

  • Career Edge: Add "Certified Digital Mentor" to your CV.
  • Impact: Gain the skills to help others navigate the digital world safely.
  • Community: Connect with like-minded locals over a catered lunch (break refreshments included).

No coding required. Just a desire to learn and help.

This Bootcamp is brought to you by WSTI and Good Things Australia, funded through the Be Connected and AI for Good programs.
