Precarity and Possibility: a forum on labour, the arts, and collective orga
Event Information
About this Event
Last year we hosted a forum discussing precarity as a defining feature of contemporary labour, considering how we might share our various struggles and how we might build solidarity with each other. Since, we have seen numerous changes on campus, in the arts and beyond as our overlapping and interlocking crises more apparent than ever, and the already existing inequalities are amplified and intensified.
Amid it all, there are strides being made to begin to build possibilities and collectivity. This forum will bring together the many different students, workers, and academics, of the A&D community to reflect on all that has changed, and discuss what collective work is being happening now. What can be learned? What can be done? All are welcome to join in for this series of short talks, which will be followed by open questions and discussion focusing on how we can begin to build a collective movement that supports us all.
In discussion:
Aneshka Mora, Marleena Oudomvilay, Audrey Pfister, Jack Poppert, Kynan Tan
