Pre-K Kids In The Garden Program (9 week term)
$140 per term first child, $120 per term each subsequent child from same family.
Age range- 2 years to 5 years
Mondays 10am - 11am

Week 1

🚜 Little Farmers – Meet & Care for Our Friendly Animals
A beautiful first week where little ones meet the goats, chickens, ducks, quails, and bunnies. Children learn gentle hands-on care as they help with feeding, patting, and visiting each animal around the farm.

📅 Monday 9th February
🥔 Grow Your Own French Fries – Planting Our Autumn Potato Patch
Children will help prepare soft soil, explore real seed potatoes, and plant our autumn potato crop. A fun, sensory activity that connects digging, planting, and imagining future homegrown “french fries.”

🌸 Bee-Friendly Blooms – Sow an Autumn Pollinator Garden
We’ll learn why bees and butterflies love flowers and help the garden grow. Children will sow their own patch of autumn flowers for pollinators and explore colours, scents, and petals.

🌱 Tiny Seeds, Big Dreams – Starting Winter Seedlings
Little gardeners will fill trays, sprinkle tiny seeds, and water gently as they start cool-season vegetables like broccoli and greens. A magical week exploring how small seeds grow into real food.

🧂 Winter Pantry Magic – Herbal Salt Making & Drying Garden Herbs
Children will touch, smell, and explore freshly picked herbs before helping make their own simple herbal salt mix. They’ll learn how herbs can be dried and saved for warming winter meals at home.

🌾 The Secret Life Beneath Our Feet – Soil Creatures & Feeding the Garden
We’ll dig gently to discover worms, bugs, and tiny helpers that live under the soil. After exploring, children will help tidy the beds and give the soil a “special drink” of Seasol using little watering cans.

🥬 Winter Garden Time – Planting Out Our Baby Seedlings
This week we plant the winter seedlings grown earlier in the term. Children will tuck each plant into the soil, water them, and learn how to help them grow strong through the cooler months.

🐞 Bug Explorers – Garden Bug Hunt & Take-Home Pollinator Planting
We’ll go on an exciting bug hunt to find helpful and not-so-helpful insects in the garden. Children will learn how bugs help plants grow and will sow a special pollinator-attracting seedling to take home.

Week 9 (Final Week)
📅 Monday 30th March
🔥 Harvest & Cook by the Fire – Mini Pizzas in the Bush Kitchen
Our end-of-term celebration! Children will gather fresh toppings from the garden, prepare mini pizzas in the bush kitchen, and enjoy them together by the fire (weather permitting).
What to bring each lesson
Enclosed shoes (Gumboots are best)
- Water Bottle
- Morning tea
- Hat
- Gardening gloves (optional but recommended)
In case of wet weather-
We will have under cover wet weather activities organised
In case of severe weather-
Such as- Extreme heat, dangerous storms etc.. Classes may get canceled in the best interest of the health and safety of the children. If available, at the discretion of the facilitator, a makeup class may be offered in this instance.

The facilitator of this program holds an Advanced Diploma in Management, Diploma in Disability, Certificate 4 in Permaculture and Permaculture Teachers Certificate.
