Do I need experience for this class?

yes you need at least 6-12 months experience. If you have done no ballet ever, please see the 60 minute Absolute Beginner listing instead.

What should I wear?

Wear whatever you feel most at ease in while still allowing for movement -  leggings, a
fitted top, dance wear. Socks are okay for those just returning.

Where do I park?

Plenty of free parking is available in the car park directly outside the studio.

Do you have change rooms?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but due to limited capacity and class change overs, we ask you to come dressed and ready for class.

Can I modify movements if I need to?

Yes. Modifications are always encouraged. Listening to your body is part of adult ballet. Inform your teacher before class of injuries or conditions.

Can my kids, friends, pets observe class?

Due to limited space and to maintain focus, children under 8 may not observe classes unless
they are supervised and are not disruptive. No pets are permitted in the studio. Adults not
participating should avoid remaining in the studio during class. We have a strict no pets
policy.

Will the teacher correct me in front of others?

Corrections are offered as information, not judgement. They are given respectfully and constructively, and never to embarrass. You’re always welcome to let your teacher know if
you prefer minimal corrections.

Where do I store my belongings?

Pigeon holes are available in the ballet room for personal items. Please be aware that belongings are left at your own risk, and the studio cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen items

how early should I arrive?

Arrive no more than five - ten minutes before class. The waiting area is small, and there will be a class before yours .

Can my child under 16 do the class with me?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately not. The classes are strictly for 16+ age group.
