Description

Learn:

- media production skills in a one day practical workshop that covers essential media making skills and knowledge by simulating a film production exercises that you can run with your students

- short film making exercises ideas that can be used in both middle and senior years

- the importance of pre-production in the development stage such as storyboarding

- essential digital video camera filming techniques that can be applied to any cameras you have at your school

- essential post-production editing skills including importing footage, creating timelines and editing techniques

Important to know:

- Filming equipment will be supplied on the day

- You MUST BYOD (bring your own device) for post-production editing with the software used at your school. Instruction will be in Adobe Premiere Pro, however, the fundamentals are common to most editing software. There will be no laptops/computers on site for you to use at this workshop.

- Participants will at some points in the day break into small groups and mimic student production teams. Footage will be shot (be prepared to maybe be in front of the camera!) and then shared amongst individuals to experiment with editing
