POWER SHIFT 2022

Australian Youth Climate Coalition

Power Shift is a 3-day, high-energy, youth climate summit bringing together hundreds of young people to take action for climate justice.

Brisbane Showgrounds

Climate change was a defining issue of this year’s Federal election - and young people were key to making that happen. We learned how powerful we are when we come together in our communities to make climate a key priority everywhere. But this is just the beginning. That’s why we're running Power Shift - a 3-day, high-energy, youth climate summit bringing together hundreds of young people to build relationships and learn vital skills to take action for climate justice. Get ready to hear from inspirational speakers: staunch activists on the frontlines of the fight against fossil fuels, experts who know how we fix this mess, and other young people who are using their power to create change. Whether you’ve been involved in campaigns before or you’re brand new, this is the place for you. Power Shift will be a hybrid event - so you can choose to attend either online, or in-person at the Brisbane Showgrounds. You’ll choose different workshops that match your interests and experience level - and we are committed to making this event as accessible as possible for everyone. Please read our Code of Conduct, Covid Safety Plan, and Accessibility Plan before registering. This week only, use the discount code 2FOR1 to get two tickets for the price of 1! Offer ends Sunday 31st July at 11.30pm. The in-person Power Shift event will be taking place in Meanjin/Brisbane on the land of the Jagera and Turrbal people, and the online event will include participants from many different lands across the continent. Wherever we are, we pay our respects the Traditional Owners of the land on which we will come together in September, recognising all elders past and present, and emerging leaders. Sovereignty was never ceded; we cannot achieve climate justice without the leadership of, and justice for, First Nations people.
