Pottery for Kids
Overview

Kids Ceramics Essentials (Ages 10–15)

This 9-week course, running during the school term, introduces the essentials of hand-built pottery in an age-appropriate and engaging way.

Over the term, students will experience the complete making process - building, decorating, and firing their own creations to take home at the end.

In the first 3-4 weeks, they will explore foundational pottery skills such as coil and slab building, then combine these techniques to create a variety of unique forms.

The remaining weeks focus on decorating through sculpting, carving, and painting. Final pieces will be finished with a clear glaze and fired, ready to take home.

While the course is centred on pottery, it also aims to equip young students with a creative toolkit to express their artistic vision and take pride in their own work.

This is a drop-off course, parents are welcome to drop their kids off and pick them up at the end of the session.
