Postvention Planning Community Workshop | Alpine Shire

Postvention Planning Community Workshop | Alpine Shire

Pioneer Park Recreation ReserveBright, VIC
Tuesday, Feb 24 from 11 am to 1:30 pm AEDT
Overview

The purpose of this event is to create a postvention plan to help reduce the impact and incidence of suicide on the Alpine Shire community.

Postvention Planning Workshop

Murray PHN and Alpine Health would like to invite interested community members and organisations to join us for a planning workshop to help guide the development of a postvention plan for the Alpine community.

We believe in creating a community of care to assist and support those who have been impacted by suicide. Whether you have been personally bereaved by suicide, know someone who has been affected by such a loss, or represent an organisation that provides support to the community, we all have a part to play.

A postvention plan helps guide a community's response following a death by suicide, supporting those who are bereaved and helping to reduce the risk of additional connected deaths.

If you have lived experience, we especially welcome your participation. Your insight, courage and understanding are deeply important, and this workshop offers a safe and supportive opportunity to share your experience in a way that will help to reduce the impact of suicide on our community.

Together we can make a difference.
