Overview

If you've ever wanted to give it wheel throwing a go this fun and creative course is for you!

These one-off sessions are a fun way to get started at the wheel and are perfect for beginners.

Come and spend a couple of hours immersed in learning how to prepare, centre and shape forms on the wheel. You can expect to make 4 works. For example, bowls, hug mugs and plates! Some of your pots might be a bit wobbly as you learn to throw but I will also guide you to make one of your intentions come true - just not a teapot in your first class!

Following your class, I will finish the works by trimming the base, stamping your initials, glazing using a range of colours and stoneware firing.

Ceramics is a slow art and I will take time and care to finish your works. Once fired, they will be packed and ready for collection within a month of your class. All works are microwave and dishwasher safe .

See you in the studio!

The studio is located at the Hedley Beare Centre for Teaching and Learning. It's a stand alone building that faces Fremantle Drive. You should be able to park right out front! Please call me if you are having trouble finding the studio and I will guide you.
