Live poetry performances, new and used poetry books for sale and an open mic

Come and listen to the brilliant work of some established and emerging writers in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

Including two feature poets and an open mic section, we'll also have a range of new and collectible poetry titles available to browse on the night.

This event is open to all people of all ages and entry is free.

Buying a ticket guarantees you a seat in the room on the day, however there is also space in the yard to watch and listen if inside is booked out.

Doors open 530pm for a 6pm start


About the featured poets:

Laurie Duggan is one of Australia's most respected and enduring poets. Born in Melbourne in 1949, he has published more than twenty books of poetry and has been awarded the Victorian Premier's Award, the Queensland Premier's Judith Wright Calanthe Award and the ALS Gold Medal, amongst others. His most recent collection is Homer Street (Giramondo).


Eran de Guzman is a poet and rapper living and working in Sydney. he writes about life in the contemporary gig economy (most times just blackening pages). He walks around town, sits on park benches with a two dollar coffee, attends open mics, repairs mobile phones, cleans his room, takes cold showers or reads a book in order to find the first line of a poem.

He writes in Filipino and English (whichever language the pen dictates)and is currently working on his first poetry collection.
