In the first crossover between Policy Forum Pod & Democracy Sausage our experts explore whether policies and politics mix in elections.
About this event
In this first-ever crossover between Policy Forum Pod and Democracy Sausage our experts will explore the perils of policies during elections in a special live recording.
Both Labor and the Coalition are on the hustings, selling their vision for the nation’s future. But, will their policy platforms be enough for voters as they make their choice on who will lead Australia come 21 May?
Already pundits and critics have noted Labor presents a “small target” this campaign due to a so-called lack of policy vision. On the other hand, could the Coalition’s reversal on a promise to establish a national anti-corruption watchdog come back to bite them on election day? What of other political forces, established and emerging, like the Greens and the teal army of independents? And can policy vision spell doom for our politicians?
Join the teams from the ever-popular and always insightful podcasts as they explore these issues and more in this live crossover special.
Democracy Sausage’s Mark Kenny and Policy Forum Pod’s Sharon Bessell and Arnagretta Hunter will take a deep dive into the crucial policy issues that are missing from this election campaign and what they’d like to see our political leaders focus on in the policy realm.
