Join a Parks Victoria volunteer-led walk through Yellow Gum Park and around peaceful Blue Lake at Plenty Gorge Parklands

Come and enjoy a morning walk through Yellow Gum and around Blue Lake, at Plenty Gorge Park. This Parks Victoria volunteer-led walk will guide you around Blue Lake and on through the classic gorge county, past old gold mines which supports a wide range of plant and animal life. Learn more about the park with our friendly and knowledgeable volunteer guide.

Whether this walk is a once-off exploration or a new part of your fitness and wellbeing routine, you are free to relax and enjoy what walk has to offer.

This walk is approximately 5 km and includes varied terrain, including steep escarpments and uneven ground. Moderate fitness is required.

Meeting point : Blue Lake Carpark. This is at the end of Goldsworthy lane about 1 km from the end of Memorial drive, Plenty, 3090.

Please note the following:

Please wear sturdy enclosed footwear and clothes suited to the weather

Please bring waterbottle, hat and sunscreen

There are no toilet facilities during this walk

Bookings are essential

This event may be cancelled at the last minute due to extreme weather conditions

You will be emailed if the event is cancelled

In the event that your circumstances change and you are no longer able to attend, please cancel your booking (instructions below) so our volunteer guides are aware and their time is valued. This will also enable another person to attend in your place as there is a waitlist for this event
