This workshop is your gateway to mastering place-based pop-up events, a dynamic and interactive approach to fostering community engagement. Whether you're new to the field or looking to sharpen your skills, this session offers valuable insights and hands-on experiences for everyone.
This session will ignite your passions, creativity and community engagement journey with practical knowledge, storing telling, networking opportunities, and a big dash of fun.
The session will include:
The Engagement Wheel: Explore the essential elements that influence a successful place-based pop-up event.
Experience Exchange: We will share our extensive knowledge on planning and facilitating place-based engagements, but we want you to share your expertise and knowledge too.
Deep Dive Discussions: Delve into the significance of place-based engagement, understand the balance between location and tools, and uncover strategies for effective data collection and data integrity.
Practical Insights: Learn about the intricacies of pop-up planning, from choosing the right location and duration to selecting appropriate methods, tools, materials and staff.
Story Sharing: We will share with you the good, the bad and the ugly (successes and failures) but we’d love you to share your unique experiences with placed-based pop-up engagement too. Your stories will be weaved throughout the session.
Interactive Sessions: Engage in hands-on activities that challenge your creativity and strategic thinking.
Celebration: There will be party food and cake, need I say more!
Finally Friday afternoon drinks: You can stay on after the session and join others for Friday night networking drinks. (drinks at Noisy Ritual Prices)
