ABOUT BEN GILBERT
Working form an old sawmill site in Yackandandah - North East VIC, Ben directs the Agency of Sculpture – producing civic sculptures, custom architectural elements and sculptural play-spaces. Growing up with a shed full of tools, building strange cubbies and exploring wilderness laid the foundations for studies in furniture design + sculpture at the University of Tasmania and then the mysterious Baltic country of Estonia. Ben's career highlights include suppling a helicopter gunship/whale to Princess Mary and being featured on Grand Designs Australia 2015 with Sawmill House - which won AIA awards.
