The Shire of Pingelly and The UWA Institute of Agriculture are thrilled to present Pingelly Astrofest 2021!

This astronomically awesome FREE event will have a myriad of interesting and engaging activities to help stargazers young and old learn more about the night sky.

Proudly supported by Lotterywest, Pingelly Astrofest 2021 will feature guided night sky tours, state-of-the-art telescopes (out all night for everyone to have a go), an engaging astronomy presentation from the experts at the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research (ICRAR), solar system workshops and science shows led by Scitech, an awe-inspiring astrophotography exhibit, hands-on activities, information and local market stalls, community fundraisers and much, much more!

• There is only one ATM in town, so please remember to bring cash to spend at the market stalls, food and drink
• Online registration is essential so we can monitor crowds
• Rain, hail or shine, this event will go ahead
• Food and drinks for sale
• Free parking available

If you are having trouble finding transport , you can catch a ride on our special bus! Thompson Coaches will pick you up from UWA and deliver you directly to the Pingelly Recreation and Cultural Centre just as the event starts. Buy your tickets here.
