The SUBSTATION is a multi-art space presenting a curated program of contemporary, experimental, interdisciplinary work. We aim to engage local audiences in an inspired, critical dialogue about current society.

PIECES will showcase bold new contemporary dance works by the next generation of Melbourne’s independent choreographers. 
This December, artists <A HREF="https://www.sarahaiken.net/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Sarah Aiken</A>, <A HREF="https://www.siobhanmckenna.dance/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Siobhan McKenna</A> and <A HREF="https://geoffreygeoffreygeoffrey.com/dance/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Geoffrey Watson</A> will present unique and exciting new works in a six-show season at The SUBSTATION. This triple bill will shift our existing notions of dance in unexpected ways by providing resources for artists to challenge their regular practice and execute their most daring ideas.   
PIECES is an evolution of Lucy Guerin Inc's Pieces for Small Spaces program, which has supported up to five emerging choreographers annually since 2005 to create and present short works (up to 10 minutes) in a performance season hosted at the Company’s studio.  Presented by The SUBSTATION and <A HREF="https://lucyguerininc.com/about#company-overview" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Lucy Guerin Inc.</A>

Accessibility 
The SUBSTATION is a fully accessible venue, there is a ramp to enter the building as well as an elevator inside. This event is a general admission seated event. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
In an effort to reduce waste, The SUBSTATION asks that patrons do not print their tickets at home. We ask that you have your ticket ready on a mobile device upon arrival or just bring some photo ID to verify your identity. 
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
To get to SUBSTATION, we encourage you to catch the Williamstown or Werribee train from Flinders Street Station to Newport Station. We are a short 4 minute walk from the station. There is also ample parking out the front of the venue.  
What's the refund policy?
Tickets are non-refundable, tickets can be exchanged for a different date (where available) and we also accept ticket name changes. 
 Am I eligible for concession prices?
Concession discounts apply to full-time students, seniors, pensioners, Healthcare Card holders and local residents (check <A HREF="https://thesubstation.org.au/about/how-to-book/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">here</A>). If you are a local resident simply show proof of residence upon ticket collection. Children under 18 allowed to attend with a parent or guardian.
