Overview

A lead-in to the  Our Lens, Our Town Community  exhibition

Join us for a fun, hands-on photography workshop ahead of the Our Lens, Our Town community exhibition at the Red Earth Arts Precinct.

This workshop is designed to help participants prepare for the exhibition by building confidence with cameras and exploring how everyday moments can tell powerful stories. You will learn simple creative tips, try out ideas for framing and storytelling, and get inspired to capture your own view of life in Karratha and the Pilbara.

The photos you take after the workshop can be submitted for consideration in the Our Lens, Our Town Community exhibition opening in May 2026 as part of REAF. Once cameras are returned, selected images will be professionally developed, with standout photographs displayed alongside works from across the community.

Perfect for all ages and experience levels, no photography skills needed.
Bring your curiosity, your camera, and your unique perspective, and be part of a collective exhibition that celebrates local life, one snapshot at a time.
