Photographing Your Artwork: A Practical Workshop for Artists

Join us in person for a hands-on workshop focused on photographing your artwork like a pro, helping you prepare a strong entry for the Shire of Harvey Art Prize. Whether you’re a painter, sculptor or any kind of creator, this beginner-friendly session will share practical tips to help your work shine in photos, including lighting, angles and simple setup using a camera or smartphone.

The session will begin with a photography demonstration by Ellie Clare, a proud South West local with a passion for creativity, community and supporting small businesses. Following the demonstration, attendees are welcome to stay and use the space, easels and Ellie’s guidance to photograph their artwork. You are welcome to drop in for the intial demonstration and do not need to stay for the full session.

Please bring your own phone or camera. A Community Development Officer will also be available to assist with online form submissions for the Art Prize entry.
