Thursday, Mar 5, 2026 from 5:30 pm to 7 pm
Overview

Bringing philosophy-curious teachers and educators together to network and share ideas.

The regular meeting of the SA Philosophy in Education Association. Come and meet other members and discuss ideas in education and philosophy.

Meet our Session Presenter, James Schofield

James Schofield received his BA in anthropology from Plymouth State University, his MA in consciousness studies from Goddard College, and his PhD in philosophy of science and mind from the University of Canterbury. Since 2018 James has delivered courses on a wide range of topics—including ethics, metaphysics, philosophy of science, existentialism, and pragmatism—for Plymouth State, Bentley, and Johnson and Wales Universities. James’ particular passion is in the intersection of phenomenology and the metaphysics of science, which was the topic of his first book, published by Palgrave: A Phenomenological Revision of E. E. Harris Dialectical Holism (2021). Currently, he is working on his second book, Process-Phenomenology: Morals, Methods, and Metaphysics, which endeavors to propose an open-ended system for contemporary phenomenology.
