Event description

Description

Sergei Prokofiev’s enchanting Peter and the Wolf, a musical fairytale for children, presented by Orchestra Victoria.

This December, join Orchestra Victoria for Peter and the Wolf, the perfect first musical experience for children aged three and up. Experience this much-loved musical tale illustrated by the sounds of the woodwind and brass sections while Artistic Director Nicolette Fraillon masterfully narrates the story.

This heart-warming work tells the story of courageous Peter and his animal friends, who outwit a big bad wolf. An interactive performance, Peter and the Wolf will teach children about the different instruments as they sit up-close to the musicians, and have them singing all the way home.

Lasting under 30 minutes, Peter and the Wolf is a delightful way to introduce children to live music. Bring your favourite stuffed toy and a cushion, dress as an animal if you feel like it, and join in the fun at Orchestra Victoria’s new home in Southbank.
