When you receive confirmation that your spot is held (with the deposit payment), you'll also receive an invoice by email for the balance of the ticketing fee - which becomes immediately payable to confirm your booking.

What makes this Art Workshop so special?

A great way to build confidence, enhance your art skills and work on a large canvas with watercolour. Using artist quality materials means your artwork presents well, showcases the richness of quality pigments, and has archival properties which means you get to enjoy your masterpiece for many years to come.

This art workshop runs on the following days. Please arrive approximately 10 minutes before the art workshop starts. End time is approximate - depends on how your painting progresses)

Day 1 - Friday, 10 April 2026: From 10am to approx 3.30pm: Prep & Plan, and Sketch & Flow

Day 2 - Saturday, 11 April: From 10am to 3.30pm (approx) Paint

Day 3 - Friday,17 April: From 10am to 3.30pm(approx) Paint

Day 4 - Saturday, 18 Apil : From 10am to 3.30pm (approx) Hooks & Finalise

**Day 5 - OPTIONAL DAY - Saturday, 25 April: From 10am to approx 3.30pm Extra Time to finish off the artwork. Note: This optional day is an extra day earmarked as additional time to continue finalising our artworks as needed - start at 10am and stay as long as needed (some attendees may only need a couple of hours to finish off their artwork). This additional session is offered at no extra cost to attendees

Includes:

• Step by step guidance though a range of steps from canvas prep for watercolour to finishing off your newly created masterpeice, which you get to take home with you after the final session.
• All art materials including artist quality paints
• Your choice of either a 90cmx60cmx4cm canvas or a 76cmx76cmx4cm canvas* Note a larger canvas option of 120cm x 90cm may be available at an additional cost (please advise if this is of interest ASAP so we can discuss this when you are progressing your booking).
• A light lunch every full day the art workshop runs, and snacks on the half days
• A high level worksheet to outline the goals for each day as you progress your painting through the different steps.

Note: This art workshop is made up of of 4 full days of art learning & creating/painting and finishing over two weeks (see above outlining dates and times) ... and here is one optional day you are welcome to joint us after the workshop is finished to continue to complete your artwork if you havent managed to do so at that point.

What you bring:

• A notebook so you can make notes as you learn new techniques and as Sonia shares some tips and tricks to achieve a beautiful artwork
• A water bottle and jumper
• A big smile and adventurous frame of mind

What you'll Learn and Do

1) Learn how to prepare your canvas for painting like professional artists do

2) Understand the value of composition and planning an artwork - embrace the freedom to make your masterpiece truly your own by choosing from over 40 reference photos you can use to either inspire or copy to create and beautiful and unique artwork

3) Create interesting colour texturing techniques and processes using artist quality watercolour paint

4) Gain a greater understanding of colour mixing challenges and how to avoid muddy colours, but instead have a luminous vibrancy to your piece

5) Work through and apply a range of painting and art relatd techniques to your large canvas as you create your unique artwork

6) Learn sketching to paint and seamlessly create an integrated and hang-worthy nature themed artwok that you would be happy to hang in your home

7) Immersive art experence in a tranquil setting

WHERE and WHEN:

Meet at Sonia's Art Studio in Worongary - set in the tranquil Gold Coast hinterland. The detailed address information will be provided in your e-ticket emailed to you when you make your booking by paying the deposit via Eventbrite.

Please arrive 10 minutes before the activity starts to finalise registration of attendance.

Parking is available on site.

While we provide aprons for the event, we do encourage you to wear something you don't mind getting a bit of paint on.
