Perth Folk and Roots Club runs a free music event with performances at the Inglewood Bowling & Sports Club every month.

Perth Folk and Roots Club is back at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club for an Australia Day Contact Special Event on Monday 26th January 2026 featuring indigenous music and other performers. The event is supported by the National Australia Day Council, the City of Stirling through its Community Grants Program and the support of Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club. Perth Folk and Roots Club is also working with Act Belong Commit in recognition of music’s contribution to mental wellbeing. The performances are from 5pm to 8pm at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, 1 Stancliffe Street, Mount Lawley. The event features indigenous musician Greg Bridge and Maurice E Gabriel and Friends. Greg Bridge is an Aboriginal from the Gija descendants of the East Kimberley region of Western Australia who is a singer songwriter guitarist, an author and a training professional. Maurice E Gabriel and Friends are Maurice on guitar and vocals and an assortment of guest backing musicians. Maurice is originally from Kolkata in West Bengal, India and combines this heritage with a love of blues and guitar.
