AUSTRALIAN INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS FOUNDATION presents

INTERNATIONAL SPEAKER LECTURE

2017 Droga Architect in Residence – Magma Architecture, Berlin

Permanent Temporary - Realising Change in Australian Cities

We are very excited to welcome Martin Ostermann, 2017 Droga Architect in Residence, to Perth. The recurrent theme in Martin's Berlin-based practice, Magma Architecture, is the unconventional ephemeral notion of architecture, producing designs that are temporary, lightweight, changeable, adaptable and even mobile buildings, in small and larger scales. His 12-week residency project aims to question the permanence of architecture and develop prospects of a new or revived mobile understanding of architecture, culminating in a public exhibition.

Martin Ostermann will present the talk with partner Lena Kleinheinz, co-founder and Director of Magma Architecture.

This exclusive event is presented by The Australian Institute of Architects Foundation in partnership with the WA Chapter of the Australian Institute of Architects.
