TRANQUIL POINT - no longer Pedder Wilderness Lodge

Get ready for an awesome in-person experience! Join us from Saturday 3pm to Monday 11am at a private retreat location in Tranquil Point. Focused on peri-menopausal/menopausal and post menopausal women 35 plus.

Come chill, refuel and nourish with good vibes and great company. Don't miss out on this unique celebration—only 18 spots available and will never be repeated at this affordable price.

Draft Run Sheet as a guide and subject to small changes. A final Runsheet will be provided 7 days prior to event when we can guage weather.

Tranquil Point is a private retreat space on a once Palawa women's birthing site and has two private beaches.

There is a fully equipped kitchen for your use. There is a magnificent fire pit and BBQ area overlooking the ocean available. We will have exclusive use of the guesthouse, property, yoga room and camping spots across 3 acres, there are two private beaches, one each on opposing sides of the property appropriate for launching kayaks and SUP’s also swimming.

3:00 pm – Pick-up some ladies from Hobart with Vanessa (8 people max)

Otherwise, all meet at Tranquil Point for 5:00 pm START

Mocktails/starters on arrival and every participant receives a Goodie Bag.

5.30 pm – Dinner prep together & sharing together quite informal. Dress comfortably, dress up, or come as you are whatever feels right for you.

7:30 pm – 9:00 pm – Evening Session: Astronomy & Myth with Dr Vanessa Strauss sunset, pudding and cacao

Sunday 8th March

6:30 am – 8:00 am – Sunrise ying with Dr Vanessa Strauss

8:00 am – Breakfast

Morning Activities (9:00 am onward) – Weather dependent. Most likely hike – Sugarloaf summit track 4.5 kms.

Will decide and confirm 7 days prior to departure what activities.

Kayaking & Stand-Up Paddleboarding (8 participants) 9 am to 10.30 am - $40 for paddleboard instruction 90 mins (not included in retreat price) depends on weather will confirm 7 days out if this goes ahead.

12:30 pm – 2:00 pm – Lunch Cygnet TBC - not included in price

Optional lunch in Cygnet (not included in price but or can relax back at retreat)

Alternatively, stay on at Tranquil Point for a relaxed BYO lunch and downtime.

Vanessa and others return to Hobart around noon Monday.

Buffet-style, self-serve meals focusing on nourishing, healthy, simple options community focused.

Lunches BYO or Cygnet Cafe Sunday TBC

Vegetarian, gluten-free, and organic where possible. Low carb/sugar options.

Complex dietary requirements are NOT able to be accommodated—please BYO if needed though and prepare your own if complex dietary.

Bring your own snacks/coffee and teas if desired

Chef Liam will prepare most meals in advance; guests will be invited to gather to simple meal prep together (arranging salads, cooking rice, buttering bread) as a shared celebration of womanhood, social connection and honouring ancestors/traditions.

Additional Notes:

A professional photographer will be on site to capture special moments mindfully and provided after retreating free of charge. To help everyone enjoy a peaceful and private retreat, we kindly ask that you keep phones on airplane mode and use them only in your private room or tent or offsite.

All yoga and night classes optional but included in price. If you want to retreat to room/tent or sleep in the mornings or go to bed early it is completely up to you and no pressure at all to attend everything. Follow your own rhythm.

Paddle boarding will be paid and confirmed 7 days prior

Encourage everyone takes out travel insurance.

This event will go ahead in all-weather except if fire warnings etc.

Ladies attending encouraged to get travel insurance to cover unforeseeable. Tickets are transferable but not refundable.

Retreat will be max 20 women (female identifying), a volunteer professional photographer, myself (Fiona Weaver outdoor and nature guide for over 25 years ) and Dr Vanessa Strauss who is a registered Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture with Distinction. Her thesis was in Women’s Health, and she has spent the past 20 years as a practicing clinician supporting Women through the gate ways of transitions, including Maiden to Mother & Mother to Crone with Chinese Medicine, Mythology, Astrology, Medical Astrology, Kundalini Yoga and Meditation, Acutonics Integrative Medicine Sound and Vibrational healing, Women’s Circle’s and Astrology Circle’s. Vanessa also lectured at Endeavor college of Natural Health in Chinese Medicine and acupuncture from 2007-2012. Her passion lies in animacy and cross-cultural referencing of disciplinary practices that bring us into right relation with Earth, Sky, and Soul. Vanessa is also a wife and Mother to two young children which her and her Husband homeschool in the Byron Bay Hinterland. Fiona has know Vanessa personally for over 8 years and has guided my through many life transitions and initiations.

Yoga will restorative and no complex movements or postures. No experience necessary and you don't even need to like yoga. Just bring an open mind. This is more about tuning out of your chaos of the modern world and slowing down to nature’s pace.
