Percussion Workshop
Love being noisy and want to turn it into music?!
School Holiday Percussion Workshop at Newcastle Conservatorium of Music
Full-day course with David Tracy
Love being noisy and want to turn it into music?!
Back by popular demand, this is a fun and informative ground-up, immersive percussion experience in a relaxed group setting. Open to all ages but particularly suitable for secondary students, participants in this workshop will learn some basics of percussion instrument technique and terminology, develop rudimentary ensemble and musicianship skills, and take away a recording of their collaborative performance.
No prior experience is required, and all levels are welcome. Experienced drummers can expect to play alongside aspiring percussionists, with a unique and engaging experience guaranteed for all. Come along and make musical noise with others! This course culminates in a performance in the Harold Lobb concert hall.
Please arrive at the Conservatorium from 8:30am for a 9:00am start. Please bring your own lunch and water bottle.
