There’s something pretty satisfying about piling on the paint instead of carefully colouring between the lines.

In Peak Texture, we’ll create a striking mountain landscape using thick, textured impasto techniques. Think a rich creamy sky, dramatic jagged mountain peaks and a winding river flowing toward you through the foreground.

You’ll learn how to build up texture, create bold mountain shapes and use simple tricks with colour, light and perspective to give your landscape depth — without needing to paint a million tiny details.

And because impasto is wonderfully forgiving, there’s plenty of room to play. Change your mountain range, adjust your colours, make your river wild and moody or calm and reflective. We’ll guide you through the whole process while leaving enough freedom to make yours feel like yours.

Never painted before? Perfect.

Our workshops are designed for beginners. We’ll take you through the artwork step-by-step, and textured painting is particularly good for anyone who likes the idea of creating without worrying about making every brushstroke perfect.

All art materials are supplied, and you’ll head home with your own finished textured mountain landscape ready to display.
