Description

PBB Talks with Dr Andrew Bisits: Breech of Confidence

PBB Media in association with Gold Coast Health and Gold Coast University Hospital present: PBB Talks with Dr Andrew Bisits, Australia's leading expert in vaginal breech birth.

Dr Bisits is Conjoint Associate Professor in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at the School of Women's & Children's Health at UNSW, Sydney and Medical Clinical Co-Director Of Maternity Services At The Royal Hospital For Women, Randwick in Sydney.

Dr Bisits has been in full time obstetrics for more than 30 years and has had a strong interest in breech birth since the term breech trial was first planned. He has participated in several initiatives to promote normal birth through helping establish primary midwifery care programs for pregnant women. Dr Bisits is on the Australian board of ALSO (advanced life support in obstetrics) and he co-ordinates the BABE (Becoming a breech expert) course through AMARE.

At this event you will learn about the process of vaginal breech birth (VBB), planning and attending a VBB, and managing an undiagnosed VBB.

You will also hear the recent birth stories of two hospital consumers who successfully achieved a VBB.
