Description

PatCite: A new open tool to map influence of scholarship on invention and innovation

Australia, like many countries worldwide, invests billions per year in university research and universities are under pressure to show economic and social impact from such an investment. However, in modern innovative societies, research contributions need to be integrated with other components such as intellectual property rights, regulatory information, etc. in order to lead to the delivery of product and services. In this talk, Dr Osmat Jefferson will describe new evolving tools such as PatCite, that allow researchers and institutions to freely map influence of their research on invention and innovation. Moreover, she will demo that when these open tools are tuned and applied at various levels, may expose and highlight institutional capabilities and strengths and guide partnerships.

Seating is limited, so please register to attend the seminar.
