REPAIR WORKSHOPS at The ReDress Hub

This collection of ReDress Hub workshops is all about repair to learn how small repair projects can keep your clothes in use for longer.

Do you have any old corporate wear, clothes with emblems, old uniforms, kids clothes with text you dislike or clothing with stains, basically stuff that would still be good to wear if it weren't for that one pesky thing? If you can nod to any of the above and are frustrated that you have these items that are simply not getting worn, bring them along and learn to restyle them into contemporary slow fashion garments that will see the light of day again.**Basic sewing skills required. This intermediate level workshop will lead participants through an overview of basic patchwork techniques as we learn how to take scraps of woven fabrics to the next level creating a free style patchwork machine sewn patch to cover over that school logo, that corporate embroidery, that undesirable text on your top or simply to hide that stain on your favourite pre-loved garment.****Come along to The ReDress Hub and learn how to do magic with patchwork with Renee. This 2 hour intermediate workshop will give you the skills and confidence to tackle that pile of pre-loved but no longer worn clothes so they can come back into rotation, and stop just taking up space. What to bring: Please bring along an item for patching (there's bound to be something in your cupboard, or maybe the cupboard of a friend or family member?)****We're excited to be able to run our workshop face to face in our new pop-up space. The ReDress Hub is located at:Shop 4, Quadrant Plaza, 94 York St, Launceston, Tasmania. You can find us in behind Toyworld :)Easy access to parking in the Care CarPark next door, with great cafes close by to fuel you up for all your workshop needs.****Please note: This workshop has a minimum number of 5 participants to run. ****If you have been or could have been exposed to COVID19 through travel or a close contact, please consider your attendance and or wearing a mask at the event.****For further information about The ReDress Hub please check out our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/ReDressHubDon't hesitate to reach out it you have any questions, our best contact is redress.circularclothing@gmail.com or reach out via our social media.****We hope to see you at The ReDress Hub soon!
