The Royal Women’s Hospital offers Childbirth and Early Parenting education for Parkville Women's clients, using video livestreaming.
This weekend program of two morning sessions is a condensed version of the weekday program. Links and additional reading suggestions will be provided.
As a participant, you will be able to access expert education and advice from one of the Women’s childbirth educators in the comfort of your own home.
One ticket is for both you and your partner or support person to participate. If you are a single parent or your partner or support person cannot attend you may have another person accompany you for the sessions.
Places are limited so we recommend you book your spot as soon as possible, so you attend a program around your 28-34th week gestation. Please book the ticket using the pregnant person's name.
Topics that will be covered include:
• Signs of labour, including when to come to hospital
• Progress of labour and birth
• Support in labour
• Practical coping methods during labour
• Medical options for pain management
• Medical assistance for birth
• Understanding breastfeeding
• Safe sleeping and settling
• Communicating with your baby
• Community supports for the family

If you book a program but do not attend part or all of that program, we are unable to refund you or relocate you to another group
