ABOUT THE FILM
"The Music of Strangers" follows the great Chinese-American cellist Yo-Yo Ma and his international performance collective, the Silk Road Project, with musicians from countries including Turkey, Syria and Iran, bringing together their disparate traditions and developing a celebratory “classical-folk” vernacular.
Catch this documentary ahead of Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Ensemble performance at the Perth International Festival on 3 March!
This movie is rated M (Mature - it contains content of a moderate impact and is recommended for teenagers aged 15 years and over).
ON THE NIGHT
Bring a picnic or get a bite from a local food truck, enjoy our public open spaces and the company of your neighbours. We’ll bring the popcorn!
We strongly encourage everyone to either walk or ride bikes to the venues. Bring reusable plates if you plan to order food from the truck, and plan on taking any waste back home with you.
