Parisa is originally from Afghanistan and came to Australia just after the collapse of Kabul during evacuation in August 2021. Parisa is an advocate for women of Afghanistan and refugees in Australia. She is dedicated to empowering women through education, especially in challenging socio-political environments. She is a key member of the Community for Humanity (C4H), a non-profit organization committed to serving refugees in Australia and plays a vital role within 'Amplify Afghan Women', an initiative aimed at enhancing educational opportunities for Afghan women.

The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre is Australia’s largest human rights organisation providing support to people seeking asylum.
They champion the rights of people seeking asylum and mobilise a community of compassion to create lasting social and policy change.
