Join us as Bernice Barry takes us on a deep dive into the local history and native flora of the southwest. Originally a linguist, teacher and education adviser, her focus for the last eighteen years has been local history and the native flora of the southwest. Bernice's widely popular books on botanical collector Georgiana Molloy combine all these interests, blending literature, science, history and memoir.
Next month’s Pages and Perspectives: Book Club read is That Deadman Dance by Kim Scott.
Happening Wednesday 4 September, book members are responsible for sourcing their own books before each session. We have partnered with local bookstore Typeface Books in Applecross, who are generously giving club members 10% off book club purchases. Melville Libraries also have limited copies of each book. This event will take place inside the Wireless Hill Museum with refreshments, small bites and prompt questions provided.
