About this event

Bernice Barry’s latest book A Lady’s Pen: The botanical letters of Georgiana Molloy completes the story of Georgiana Molloy (1805-1843) that began with the biography The Mind That Shines. Through the letters she wrote about seeds and plants gathered around Taalinup and Undalup (Augusta and Busselton) in the last seven years of her young life, we are given an intimate view into Molloy’s passion for local wildflowers and her growth - against all the odds - from untrained amateur into skilled botanical collector.

To attend this meeting please register, purchase and read ahead of Wednesday, 7 August.

Please note that members are responsible for sourcing their own books before each session. We have partnered with local bookstore Typeface Books in Applecross, who are generously giving club members 10% off book club purchases. Melville Libraries also have limited copies of each book. This event will take place inside the Wireless Hill Museum with refreshments, small bites and discussion prompts provided.

Author Bernice Barry will also be joining us at the museum on Wednesday, 21 August for Pages and Perspectives: History Speaks.
