The Queensland Children’s Hospital Ophthalmology Department invites optometrists, orthoptists, ophthalmology registrars, residents and nurses to a full day with a focus on paediatric ophthalmology conditions. The presentations will be delivered as case studies that explore the management and investigation of eye conditions guided by analysis of presenting signs and symptoms. This full day event will be offered in-person at the Queensland Children’s Hospital in South Brisbane, and concurrently online via Microsoft Teams. Sessions will run from 9:00am-4:00pm and comprise of a range of topics including:
- Strabismus (live patient session!)
- Pre-aged Vision Screening in Queensland
- Contact lenses
- Anisocoria and ptosis
- Papilloedema
- Functional vision loss
