Michelle Lee Solo Pacific Ocean Row Presentation Information:

Michelle Lee from Sydney chased her dream and became the first woman to row the Pacific Ocean solo, non stop and unassisted. She departed Ensenada, Mexico 8th August 2022 and arrived Port Douglas, Australia 8th April 2023. She spent 240 days at sea. Alone.

In this presentation Michelle shares her journey to inspire and motivate you to follow your heart and chase your dreams. She navigated a world of firsts including having a shark land on her boat and the depths of isolation where she did not see another vessel for 4 months. From uninterrupted rainbows to interactions with wild life and mother nature. Michelle will encourage you step outside your comfort zone, align your head and heart and don’t die wondering. “Start thinking you can and you will” was her motto, which has become her mantra.

Michelle Lee is an extraordinary individual who has embraced a life of extreme challenges. Leaving behind her corporate banking career, she embarked on a journey that would redefine the limits of human endurance and resilience.

  • First Australian Woman to Row Any Ocean Solo: Michelle holds the distinction of being Australia’s first female solo ocean rower. She fearlessly faced the vast expanse of the Atlantic Ocean, conquering its waves and storms in 2019.
  • Pacific Ocean Solo Unassisted: Not content with one achievement, Michelle went on to make history as the first woman in the world to row the Pacific Ocean solo and unassisted. Her 237-day journey covered an astounding 14,000 kilometers, from Mexico to Australia. Along the way, she battled hurricanes, cyclones, and solitude, demonstrating unwavering determination.
  • World Record Holder: Michelle’s tenacity extends beyond the open water. She also holds the world record for the fastest woman to row one million meters on a Concept 2 rowing machine.
  • Adventurer and Mindset Coach: Michelle’s motto, “Start thinking you can and you will,” encapsulates her approach to life. She has trekked the Himalayas, conquered the Kokoda Trail, and explored the wonders of nature. Through it all, she has honed her mindset, drawing inspiration from mentors like Bob Proctor and Dr. Joe Dispenza.
  • Australian Geographic Adventurer of the Year: In recognition of her extraordinary feats, Michelle was awarded The Australian Geographic’s Adventurer of the Year—an honour bestowed upon only a select few women.
