Overview

Join us for a fun day planting eucalyptus trees and making our community greener and greener!

Our Eucalypt Home: A Community Planting Day

Join us at Nunyara Farm as we gather to celebrate National Eucalypt Day 2026 and honour the theme, Our Eucalypt Home.

Eucalypts shape the character of our landscape — they shelter wildlife, hold stories in their bark, offer medicine in their leaves, and anchor the ecosystems we belong to. This is a day to come together in gratitude and action.

As a community, we will plant locally native eucalypt seedlings, learn about their ecological importance, and deepen our connection to the land we call home. Whether you’re a seasoned grower, a curious learner, or bringing children to experience the joy of planting their first tree, you are warmly welcome.

We are grateful to be supported by Sustainable Braidwood and Upper Shoalhaven Landcare, whose guidance and provision of locally appropriate seedlings will help ensure our plantings contribute meaningfully to the health and resilience of this region.

Come plant a tree.
Come breathe in the scent of gum leaves.
Come be part of growing our shared eucalypt home.

Together, we tend what sustains us.

What to bring:

  • a hat,
  • sunscreen,
  • water bottle
  • gardening gloves
  • a rain jacket (just in case!)

Tea, coffee, water and light refreshments during the day will be provided.

Whether you’re a green thumb or just want to help out, everyone’s welcome. Let’s get our hands dirty and nurture our local environment while meeting awesome people. Bring your energy, smiles, and a love for nature!
