Our beaches and waterways are some of our city's most precious natural assets, as well as a major natural economic driver. Our beautiful coastal spaces are a large part of the Gold Coast lifestyle and instrumental in shaping our culture and experience. Our Beaches and Waterways workshops are a fun way to care for and learn about our coastal spaces while having valuable conversations with our enthusiastic City team.

Join us for a free community dune planting event hosted by the City's Our Beaches and Waterways Program.

Our Beaches Dune Planting Workshops

Our Beaches Community sessions are hands on. Together, we plant native vegetation, collect litter, weed invasive species, and deliver education on the importance of coastal management. Limited spaces are available per session, so bookings are essential.

Help strengthen our coastline and join the City's Beaches team for a community dune planting morning.Stable dunes are critical to the health of our beaches. They also form a key defence against erosion, protecting people, properties and infrastructure.Together we'll get our hands sandy, have some fun and help enhance our beaches and waterways.If you enjoy being outdoors, being part of a community, and would like to make a difference to our natural environment, this event is for you. No experience is necessary to join.All planting materials and equipment will be provided on the day.A City Officer will be in attendance.IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE YOU REGISTER<ul><li>All ages welcome but best suited for adults and children aged 4 years and above</li><li>Spaces are limited and registration is essential for both adults and children</li><li>Further location details are provided within the email confirmation as you scroll down</li><li>Children under 16 must have a parent/guardian present and supervising</li><li>This is an outdoor event in a beach environment</li><li>We do not accept bookings for more than 5 people</li><li>Contact us if you need to discuss a larger group booking</li></ul>TICKET REGISTRATIONYou must secure a ticket for all children and supervising adults attending. If you can't secure all the tickets you require at the time of registration, please do not book. Each workshop is set to a maximum capacity.
